Monday Morning Leftovers 11.8.10

1. Trying my hand at ‘art direction’ for a friend’s semester-long narrative film project, I love it! And I love my friend’s beautiful house, with that orange and grey floral wallpaper…
2. We have a new addition to Granny’s! Our housemate found this little guy running around in the street downtown, and he didn’t seem to have a family… so now he has one! His name is Arlo, after Arlo Guthrie, and he is completely fearless. Except for the other cats, we are all head over heels for him.
3. A shot of the Granny’s Mystery Mansion for Halloween, it was too much fun decorating our already old and spooky house. I am totally going to be a Halloween Mom.
4. Finally got to check out the Dia de los Muertos celebration in the Mission- complete with dancing, candles, carnations, and altars at Garfield Park. There was even several large communal altars where you could leave a note for a passed loved one, which was greatly appreciated.
5. BAB’s night of fancy-freeness (it’s a word now) was a great success, thanks to everyone who helped make it happen! Spiro Agnew rocked despite a sick keyboardist, and Swanifant got gussied up in button-ups… one of which came off after all the dance-induced sweat kicked in. It was a lovely evening and we look forward to future fun. For more pictures of BAB Presents, check out the set on flickr.
