Moving
The time has come and the move has been initiated! The house is coming along nicely and everyone’s tastes and preferences seem to mesh really well. Here’s a photo I took looking down at the huge stair landing’s window, with a built in storage bench underneath- I think it’s everybody’s favorite feature of the house. I’ll post some nice ones once everything’s settled.
Personally, I’m stoked on all the picture rails found throughout the house, which are quite common for all the old 1920s homes found in this area. If there’s one thing we all have a lot of, it’s artwork- now we can switch stuff out and paint the walls without worrying about holes! Landlady loves us already.
Eager to start playing around with hanging pictures, I went to get some molding hooks and was surprised to learn that a big name frame shop (which will remain anonymous) didn’t have them…. but awesome Berkeley operation True Value Hardware did. Only $1.99 for four, btw.
