HCFM: Fever Ray

It’s October! That means sweaters, pumpkins, and Halloween. So for October’s inaugural HCFM, I figure it’s pretty much perfect to show this fantastically creepy video from Fever Ray- the recent solo project from Swedish duo the Knife‘s Karin Dreijer Andersson.
Delving even further into the synthy darkness that the Knife is so well known for, this video for ‘When I Grow Up’ essentially proves that Fever Ray can be likened to the bad-ass stepsister of fellow sexy Swede (and BAB fave) Lykke Li. Check it out- whether people would get it or not, how rad of a Halloween costume would that be?
So if you’re not in the mood for the bluegrass festival this weekend, perhaps gettin’ spooked by Fever Ray at the Regency’s Grand Ballroom on Monday night (Oct. 5th) is more your thing.
