Happy Catchy Friday Music: Lykke Li
I can’t keep this under wraps any longer. For the past couple months I have secretly been listening to Lykke Li on constant repeat. Check out the video for one of my fave tracks:
She is my current guilty pleasure. Catchy, sexy, danceable, with little hints of orchestral and jazz influences and a tinge of that uber-cool Scandinavian effortless darkness. Yeah, she’s Swedish. And I’m a little bit gay for her, not gonna lie. Actually, I think it’s pretty much safe to say that the world is a little bit gay for Sweden altogether. The whole place. So I’m jumping on the bandwagon and declaring my love loud and proud for Lykke (pronounced LU-ka) who is gracing us unsophisticated Americans with her presence November 1st at the Independent.
It’s about time I put my dancing shoes on again.
